e-marketing: the saviour in a recession

With every organisation trying to tighten their belts, it’s no surprise that electronic media will be a tool that will come of age in this recession. Long gone are the creaky websites that were making little impact in the last downturn. In their place we have social networking, blogging, eshots and more recently, tweets…

A great example of a recent ‘no budget’ marketing success in the credit crunch, was of the Mara Triangle conservation project set in the Masai Mara. Armed with nothing more than a good website and an avid twitter account, they’ve managed to raise funds and get volunteers at a time when others are struggling to meet their targets.

During this downturn, take the time to investigate and embrace e-marketing… utilise free sites and tools and then get creative with your marketing plans! No matter what the medium – marketing doesn’t have to cost the earth, but it does need to move it!
