I think one thing that's important to add is that emarketing is just like every other form of marketing - it has to have purpose, its no good to have the scatter gun approach. It has to be targetted. The biggest change with online media and social media that perhaps wasn't there previously is that for once the target-customer has a direct link to the supplier and can find out exactly what everyone else thinks as well. It's made the whole thing transparent.

With this is mind you have to make sure that marketing isn't a bolt-on to your business but is planned and aligned with your core business objectives. It's integral - those companies that have that ethos at their heart are the ones thriving in an online world.

The Lackham Farm and Estate Guide is the first brochure since returning from maternity leave that I’ve done. From initial designs, design development, logo redesign, creating the 24 page brochure and doing amends - I did it all (actually Amy did do a bit too :0). The final designed brochure got to the client and was received well with a thank you email being sent. Nice to see a job through from brief to printed brochure, and to have a happy client.

Hey Em, thanks for the nice comment - I'll frame that :o)

In my opinion, if you have good staff you do what you can to keep them. They're the most important thing in this business. Without good staff you don't keep good clients. Welcome back.

I would endorse the above comment. A short and succinct blog yet pretty thought provoking especially in today economic downturn.
Look forward to further such blog topics
